Help A Young Lady Become A Princess For A Day! March 20, 2009

Filed under: Princess For A Day — genesiswse @ 12:20 am

I wanted to take a time out from wedding info to let everyone know about a project I am working on the next several weeks.  After learning about a group that does something similar in California, I thought (especially in this recession) that it would be a wonderful thing to do.

So, let me introduce to you the “Princess For A Day” Project.  This project will accept both business and private donations of prom/formal gowns, accessories, and shoes; as well, we accept donations for hair and makeup design.  With these donations, we will invite girls in which they and their families are unable to afford the attire and let them choose a dress and more for free  in order for their prom night to be magical!

If you would like more detailed information, please visit our page here.

Now, the reason I posted this info so early on our blog is because I would like to invite you, your friends, business colleagues, etc to consider making a donation of item(s) or your time to help these young ladies become a Princess for a day!  In the upcoming weeks before prom, we will be accepting prom gowns, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, tiaras, hair decor, and shoes of all sizes, in which the girls will be able to come and choose what they want for prom night.  As for the hair and makeup artists, we hope that you will donate your time on the day of prom to help our princesses look their best!

While most of our donations will be used, we do accept new items as well.  Also, visit this page in order to read our guidelines.
